Commercial Lines Account Manager

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious ­­­­­Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Jasper, IN. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office preferred position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve a Commercial book of customers with a wide range of industries including Social Services, Manufacturing, Contractors, and others. Account sizes vary from smaller business to large operations. Total book size would begin around $500,000 in revenue and we would look to increase the capacity to $750,000 over time.
• Monitor and process renewals as they expire, process endorsements from customer requests, complete certificates of insurance and other various requests from customers and assist the producer as needed.

• Seek opportunities to upsell coverages and cross sell additional policies to complete the client’s coverage and provide peace of mind.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of commercial insurance experience.
• IN P&C licensed.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Designations preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Attention to detail in document preparation, review and follow-up are a must in the day-to-day of this position.
  

• Ability to: acquire new accounts and retain existing business, manage and service sales pipeline, communicate effectively (written and verbally), maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
  
• Ability to: Work with an agency management system, maintain detailed records of client and agent interactions
