The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Benefits Account Executive or to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Employee Benefits New Business Account Executive is a critical role within the Hilb Group, responsible for driving new business and delivering a seamless client experience to employers with 2-99 enrolled employees.

  • Partner with Producers across the region to develop innovative strategies for winning new clients, along with overseeing the marketing of benefit plans, and ensuring the accurate delivery of tailored proposals.

  • Sell direct referral business without Producer involvement.

  • The role includes supervising 2-3 staff members to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.

  • Accommodate the evolving marketplace, including familiarity with PEOs (Professional Employer Organizations), ICHRAs (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements), and non-traditional benefit plan options.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years in employee benefits, insurance, or client management, with experience in benefit technology and non-traditional benefit options.
  • Licensing: Required to obtain necessary Accident, Life and Health insurance licenses.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including leading presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with benefit technology platforms and CRM systems is a plus.
